Continue in the class with Joyce to work on personal painting projects.
Whether you are new to oil painting or want a greater depth of knowledge in the basic principles of oil painting, this is the class for you! Over 6 weeks, the class will focus on oil-painting fundamentals and give tips to take your art to the next level by practicing step by step simple projects with the instructor. Through instructor demonstrations, discussions, and handouts, essential elements of constructing a painting will be introduced through different subjects in each class.
Basics Elements to be covered include Elements of Light and Form, Value and Color Relationship, Design and Composition, and Edges. Students will have the opportunity to apply each element introduced in a fun way. A Supply List will be emailed upon registration.
Class 1-2: Simple Still Life
Class 3-4: Simple Seascape
Class 5-6: Simple Landscape
The instructor will provide beautiful photos captured throughout the year that students can use as inspiration.
