Jewelry Design | Exploring Silver Clay
April 29 - June 3$300
Wednesdays 9:30am–12:30pm | 6 Weekly Online Sessions via Zoom [Limited to — 4 new students, 4 returning students]
Great news from the art school …. JJ’s class this spring is not cancelled, it’s moving ONLINE! In person is best, but zoom classes are easy to join in on, allow for class camaraderie and most of all keeps you creating your own jewelry!
Local Jeweler JJ Singh will share her knowledge to new and continuing students interested in exploring the world of metal clay* and its design possibilities. All NEW projects will be started and basic techniques like rolling, stamping, cutting, forming, sanding and finishing covered. Since it’s an online and distance learning class, JJ will coordinate with students collecting their jewelry, to fire in the kiln and get them back to you.
*The materials fee for new students is $125 and includes complete silver metal clay toolkit (picked up from JJ’s porch) and 30g of silver. Returning students fee is $75 including 30g of silver. Additional silver may be needed and can be purchased from JJ.
Artist JJ Singh was one of the first instructors to be certified in PMC through the Rio Grande Certification program. JJ has been working with metal clay since 2002 and has been teaching classes through The Arts of Great Falls School and her home studio for the past 10 years. website
