Award-Winning Watercolors PLEIN AIR

September 23 - October 21

Fridays 10:00am-12 noon | 6 Weekly Sessions

The First Fall Session of Award-Winning Watercolors will be in PLEIN AIR (outdoors).  Enjoy painting scenes around the school on the Village Green or on the porches.  If weather is inclement, class will be inside the school or underneath cover.  [If class on October 21 has inclement weather, the make-up class is October 28]

The instructor’s hands-on approach will help students learn to capture the transparent quality of watercolor in the painting of landscapes and still life. Working with a limited palette and carefully planning strokes and tonality, students will master the economical use of brush and line to produce the needed effect without the fear of overworking the painting and will learn how to achieve crisp, clear color and create atmospheric effects.  This class is for students with basic knowledge of watercolor painting.
